Explore the magical sounds of Balinese gamelan music at this combined concert and hands-on workshop where you’ll encounter music from another world, often called the ‘music of gods’.
Hear Sydney’s only Balinese gamelan group, Sekaa Gong Tirta Sinar, now in their 21st year, play classic instrumentals on the ornate gamelan suite from the Australian Museum, followed by a rare opportunity for you to workshop a traditional ‘gilak’ on the bronze key, pots and gongs inherent to Balinese music.
